PRESS RELEASE — Kvantify is partnering with Aarhus University and Aalborg University in a new project designed to bring quantum computing closer to real-world application in drug discovery.
The project, Optimal Design Automation towards a Performant Quantum Software Stack (ODAQS), has received DKK 17.4 million in funding from the Innovation Fund Denmark (Grand Solutions program). The goal is to develop advanced quantum software that removes many of today’s technical barriers, allowing researchers and companies to focus on scientific problems rather than hardware limitations.
Kvantify will help translate the project’s research results into practical, industry-ready technologies for quantum-based chemical and molecular calculations, which could reduce both time and costs in the early stages of drug development.

ODAQS runs from 2026 to 2029 and combines research in algorithms, software optimization and automated quantum program generation – with a particular focus on quantum chemistry. The collaboration aims to strengthen Denmark’s quantum ecosystem while accelerating the adoption of quantum computing in life sciences.
