Press release – Srirama Engineering College has become the first college in Tirupati to initiate a quantum computing initiative, marking a significant milestone in the region’s journey towards emerging quantum technologies. The institution has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BLOQ Quantum Pvt Ltd, a pioneering quantum technology company from Kerala, to advance quantum computing education, research, and innovation.

The collaboration positions Srirama Engineering College among the institutions pioneering quantum technology initiatives in Andhra Pradesh, with a focus on developing capabilities in quantum computing and exploring its applications across emerging research domains.

As part of the collaboration, Srirama Engineering College has gained access to the BLOQ Quantum Computing Platform, enabling students and faculty to explore quantum computing through hands-on experimentation and practical learning. The platform will also support the institution’s research activities in Quantum Machine Learning (QML) and other emerging areas of quantum technology.

Through this partnership, students and faculty will gain practical exposure to quantum algorithms, quantum programming, quantum computing workflows, and emerging applications of quantum technologies. The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical quantum technology skills by providing access to industry-oriented tools and learning resources.

The MoU will also create opportunities for joint research, technical training, research publications, patent development, and industry-academia collaboration. These initiatives are expected to encourage students and researchers to work on innovative problems and develop solutions at the intersection of quantum computing, machine learning, and other emerging technologies.

The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Chairman Mannem Ramireddy, Secretary Mannem Ramasubbareddy, Director Mannem Aravind Kumar Reddy, Principal Dr. K. Jayachandra, Programme Coordinators Dr. A. Munishankar and Dr. R. Nagendra, along with faculty members of Srirama Engineering College and representatives of BLOQ Quantum Pvt Ltd.

The partnership represents an important step towards strengthening the quantum technology ecosystem in Tirupati and Andhra Pradesh, bringing together academic learning, research, and industry expertise.
