PRESS RELEASE — SDT Inc. (“SDT” or the “Company”), a global quantum design and manufacturing company, marked a major milestone with the successful opening of its Quantum-AI Hybrid Data Center in Seoul’s Gangnam district. As Korea’s first commercial quantum computing facility, the center represents a pivotal milestone for the domestic quantum ecosystem, enabling the practical deployment of quantum technologies in industrial and commercial environments.

The opening ceremony, held on February 4, brought together executives from global technology companies including NVIDIA, Microsoft Korea, and LG Electronics. Roger Luo, CEO of Anyon Technologies and a key partner in SDT’s superconducting quantum commercialization efforts, also joined the event. From the public sector, attendees included National Assembly Member Jin-wook Jung, Seoul Metropolitan Government Senior Secretary Gwan-yong Kwak, and representatives from major local governments, all of whom expressed strong policy support for the continued growth of Korea’s quantum industry. 

How SDT Uses NVIDIA NVQLink to Maximize Quantum Value

The Quantum-AI Hybrid Data Center is the culmination of SDT’s proprietary Full-Stack QDM (Quantum Design & Manufacturing) capabilities, encompassing hardware design, fabrication, system integration, and operating software.

During the event, guests were given an exclusive tour of the facility, where they observed the live operation of Kreo, SDT’s 20-qubit superconducting quantum computer, alongside a live demonstration of the QuREKA platform.

At the core of the facility is a true quantum-classical hybrid computing environment that combines Kreo’s quantum processing unit (QPU) with NVIDIA DGX B200 systems to deliver a combination of high-performance computing, storage, and networking capabilities. The system is built around an architecture designed to support tight coupling between quantum and GPU resources within a single operational environment, leveraging the NVIDIA NVQLink platform as part of the overall integration roadmap. 

SDT’s Qubit Controller Unit (QCU) provides high‑fidelity multi‑qubit control and readout for Kreo, and when used with NVQLink, forms a low‑latency bridge between the quantum processor and NVIDIA GPU‑accelerated classical compute.  Within this architecture, NVIDIA DGX B200 systems handle numerically intensive workloads such as data encoding, variational optimization, control loops, and result post-processing, while latency-sensitive quantum kernels and problem primitives are dispatched to the QPU. 

This commercial deployment of NVQLink establishes a new benchmark for quantum–AI hybrid computing performance and integration essential for scaling to useful quantum advantage. The resulting heterogeneous workflow provides a realistic path to quantum advantage in industrial settings, particularly for chemistry and materials simulation, portfolio and risk optimization, and large-scale logistics and scheduling, where conventional HPC stacks increasingly encounter scaling and algorithmic bottlenecks. 

Located in the heart of Seoul’s Gangnam business district, this Quantum-AI Hybrid Data Center makes NVQLink-driven quantum–AI workflows directly accessible to commercial users, who can integrate them into existing enterprise systems with minimal latency, regulatory friction, and operational overhead.

Through QuREKA, SDT exposes this hybrid architecture as a cloud-based service that unifies CPU, GPU, and QPU resources in a single development environment. Developers can orchestrate end-to-end workflows—data preprocessing, AI model inference, quantum kernel execution, and post-processing—without needing to manage heterogeneous infrastructure themselves.

By operating this system in Gangnam—the business heart of Korea—we are demonstrating that quantum computing is no longer a distant concept, but a tangible solution ready to engage with real industrial challenges.”

SDT’s Qubit Controller Unit is showcased at NVIDIA GTC 2026, taking place in San Jose, California, underscoring how it can work with NVQLink as a key element in enabling SDT’s architecture for real-world quantum-AI integration.
