Insider Brief:

  • ELTECH Consulting partners with Q-CTRL to expand quantum education and error correction tools in India, becoming an authorized re-seller of Black Opal and Fire Opal.
  • Q-CTRL’s collaboration with Quantum AI Global previously integrated Black Opal into Tamil Nadu’s technical universities, making it the first state to mandate quantum computing education.
  • India’s National Quantum Mission and increasing public and private investment are driving quantum workforce development, with ELTECH and Q-CTRL aiming to support enterprises, researchers, and educators.

PRESS RELEASE — According to a recent post from Electronics Era, with confirmation from Q-CTRL, Bangalore-based ELTECH Consulting has partnered with Q-CTRL to expand access to quantum education and error correction tools in India. The collaboration allows ELTECH to be an authorized re-seller of Q-CTRL’s Black Opal and Fire Opal software, intended to prepare enterprises and researchers for quantum computing.

Expanding Quantum Access in India with ELTECH Consulting

India is emerging as a key market for quantum technology, supported by government initiatives such as the National Quantum Mission, which provides funding and infrastructure to accelerate research and development. Q-CTRL, known for its tools supporting quantum control and education, sees India as an important region for adoption.

Q-CTRL’s recent LinkedIn post states: “With ELTECH providing sales support, we are confident we will effectively serve our customers in India, a key region for us, by enabling enterprises to quickly prepare for the quantum era through education programs and to achieve the best results from today’s quantum processors.”

ELTECH Consulting sees value in bringing Q-CTRL’s offerings to the Indian market. Pathy Iyer, Director of ELTECH Consulting, stated in Electronics Era: “Q-CTRL is a recognised expert in the area of quantum technology. Their learning tool Black Opal provides value not only to students but also new faculty and researchers and even industry when they hire professionals. Fire Opal is a unique solution for error correction and algorithm tuning.”

Building on India’s Growing Quantum Education Initiatives

Black Opal is Q-CTRL’s interactive quantum computing education platform, designed to make quantum concepts accessible to learners of all levels. Fire Opal is a software tool that optimizes quantum algorithms and mitigates errors, a critical challenge in current quantum hardware. These tools could support India’s growing quantum workforce and help enterprises navigate the field.

This partnership follows Q-CTRL’s previous initiative with Quantum AI Global to integrate Black Opal into Tamil Nadu’s technical universities. Tamil Nadu became the first state globally to mandate quantum computing education, incorporating Q-CTRL’s software into the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation’s Naan Mudhalvan Upskilling Platform. The collaboration, intended to close the quantum skills gap, supports India’s National Quantum Mission and positions Tamil Nadu as a leader in quantum education.

India’s quantum ecosystem is expected to grow rapidly with increasing investment from both the public and private sectors. By providing Q-CTRL’s software in India, ELTECH Consulting intends to equip businesses, researchers, and educators with tools to advance their quantum capabilities. The partnership aligns with India’s broader push to develop a skilled quantum workforce and strengthen its position in the global quantum industry.
