Resonance subsidiary The Quantum Insider, a provider of news and market intelligence for the quantum industry, has announced its acquisition of Q-munity, a pioneer in quantum computing education and workforce development.

Q-munity connects students, educators and the broader academic community with educational resources and training to foster the growing community of today’s – and tomorrow’s – quantum technology innovators.

This acquisition  aims to unite two thought leadership groups in the quantum space that are committed to fostering higher learning and nurturing top talent to provide the transformative benefits of quantum technology. By integrating Q-munity’s robust educational offerings with The Quantum Insider’s information platform and media outreach, this union will create a comprehensive ecosystem that supports and encourages academic excellence and innovation in quantum computing.

“We firmly believe that as exciting and intriguing as quantum mechanics is, the real transformative power of the quantum industry remains in the hands of the people who study quantum technology, the people who build the devices and the people who will use them,” said Alex Challans, CEO of The Quantum Insider. “That’s why we are particularly excited about this acquisition. Together, we are poised to create a vibrant, knowledge-rich community that supports learners and innovators at every stage of their quantum journey.”

Challans added that the move is also a strategic step towards engaging directly with academic organizations around the world and connecting students, researchers and educators with resources, including cutting-edge research, the latest industry news and hands-on learning experiences.

Anisha Musti, CEO of Q-munity, agreed, adding that joining forces with The Quantum Insider provides a tremendous opportunity as we seek to broaden Q-munity’s reach and enhance its impact in quantum education. The enhanced focus on academics and education underscores both organizations’ dedication to advancing quantum computing knowledge and expertise.

“Through this partnership, we are going to help learners at all levels—from the quantum curious to advanced researchers—can gain access to a diverse array of resources tailored to support their academic and professional journeys in quantum computing. These resources are meticulously designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in order to cultivate a well-informed, skilled workforce capable of propelling the quantum revolution forward.”

For next steps, the combined teams plan to integrate Q-munity content into The Quantum Insider media platform for maximum outreach potential. They will also continue to deliver offerings while developing new programs, curriculums, courses and develop new initiatives together.
