Tencent Quantum Lab and Tsinghua University Department of Physics Sign Memorandum of Cooperation

Quantum data link established between two distant Chinese cities
Professor Jianwei Pan and his colleagues Qiang Zhang and Teng-Yun Chen, in collaboration with Xiang-Bin Wang and Yang Liu of the Jinan Institute of Quantum Technology, have achieved 428 km of double-field quantum key distribution (TF-QKD) and 511 km TF-QKD using time-frequency transfer technology, which is the longest transmission distance of QKD that doesn’t have to be trusted.
Nanjing University Recruiting Postdocs in Quantum Optics and Quantum Simulation
Professor Hui Liu’s group in the School of Physics at Nanjing University is looking for three postdocs in the research series to conduct research on fundamental physics, theoretical calculations, experimental techniques and application development related to photonic chips with superstructured materials. Chinese Academy of Sciences Successfully Develops Dilution Refrigerator
Ji Zhongqing’s team at the Institute of Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has developed a prototype liquid-free helium dilution cooler that can operate continuously for a long period of time at 10.9 mK and in single-stroke mode at 8.7 mK. This technological breakthrough will provide low-temperature conditions for cutting-edge research in China, such as quantum computing.

Tsinghua University’s “Summer Camp for Outstanding Undergraduates in 2021” was successfully held
On May 29th, the summer camp for physics students was officially opened offline.
