Insider Brief

  • Copernic Space and Intrana announced a strategic partnership to build a quantum-resistant commercial operating layer for tokenized space assets and future space-commerce transactions.
  • The partnership will combine Copernic Space’s real-world space asset tokenization framework with Intrana’s post-quantum blockchain architecture based on NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography.
  • The collaboration will focus on quantum-resistant tokenization, defense-grade smart contracts, cross-network interoperability and governance standards for post-quantum digital assets.

PRESS RELEASE —  Governments, financial institutions, and blockchain networks worldwide are racing to prepare for a future where quantum computation could break today’s cryptographic standards, threatening trillions of dollars in digital assets and financial infrastructure. At the same time, an entirely new asset class has emerged, space assets.

A Quantum-Resistant Layer for Space Commerce

To address this compounding risk, Copernic Space, the premier platform for Real-World Space Assets (RWSAs), and Intrana, a pioneer in post-quantum blockchain architecture, today announced a strategic partnership to deploy a quantum-resistant commercial operating layer for the space economy.

The announcement comes on the heels of the United States signing executive orders that accelerate its push toward quantum computing security, reflecting growing recognition that critical infrastructure sectors must begin preparing today. As space assets increasingly underpin communications, computing, finance, and national security systems, quantum resilience is becoming a foundational requirement rather than an optional upgrade. By combining Copernic Space’s tokenization framework with Intrana’s quantum-resistant blockchain applications, built from genesis with NIST-standardized Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), the two companies are establishing a secure blueprint for defense, enterprise, and institutional operators.

“Space assets are becoming an increasingly vital component of global enterprise, commercial markets, and national infrastructure. Whether our user is a government, an institutional fund, a commercial space company, or an individual retail participant, they require cryptographic security that cannot be compromised by the advent of quantum computing. This partnership with Intrana ensures our RWSA framework is locked behind a post-quantum firewall, setting the definitive security standard for the next generation of space commerce.”— Grant Blaisdell, CEO of Copernic Space

This architecture upgrade arrives at a critical milestone for the commercial space sector. Following its successful 2025 Moon Mission I, which deployed the world’s first sold-out payload of over 1,000 digital assets to the lunar surface, Copernic Space is preparing to launch secondary market trading later this year. The partnership ensures that these and all future space assets can trade, settle, and clear within a quantum-impermeable ecosystem.

“The core vulnerability of modern digital finance is time. A system built on legacy cryptography cannot safely support an economy intended to span generations. By securing Copernic Space’s infrastructure, we are demonstrating how post-quantum ledgers can simultaneously safeguard both terrestrial private markets and the multi-trillion-dollar space economy before the quantum threat materializes.”— Court Welty, Founder and President of Intrana

Four Pillars of Collaboration

Moving forward, the collaboration will focus on four core technical and regulatory pillars to solidify this new operating layer:

Global Standards & Governance: Actively contributing to international regulatory frameworks for post-quantum digital assets, building on Intrana’s prior leadership in the National DigiFoundry’s Financial Product Tokenization workgroup alongside stakeholders from the U.S. Space Force and U.S. Treasury.

Quantum-Resistant Tokenization: Integrating Intrana’s modular PQC layer as the cryptographic foundation for Copernic Space’s registry, safeguarding asset lifecycles against state-sponsored decryption attacks.

Defense-Grade Smart Contracts: Jointly developing high-performance, WebAssembly-based smart contract templates to securely automate asset issuance, payload leasing, and secondary market revenue distribution.

Cross-Network Interoperability: Utilizing the Secure Asset Transfer Protocol (SATP) to allow quantum-secure space assets to interact seamlessly with legacy capital markets and external enterprise networks without exposing them to cryptographic vulnerabilities.
