PRESS RELEASE —  Naoris Protocol today announced that its Mainnet is officially live, marking the launch of a post-quantum Layer 1 blockchain built for a world where classical cryptography no longer holds. 

Naoris’ mainnet launch comes at a critical inflection point for digital infrastructure, as the timeline for quantum disruption rapidly shifts from theoretical to imminent. Google’s latest guidance sets a timeline for post-quantum cryptography migration by 2029, underlines the growing sense of urgency, warning of a “harvest now, decrypt later” threat model, where encrypted data is being actively collected today and compromised in the future once quantum capabilities mature. 

Additionally, the European Commission and EU Member States recently released a coordinated roadmap to transition digital infrastructure to post-quantum cryptography (PQC). The plan requires Member States to begin national PQC strategies by 2026, mandates quantum-resistant encryption for critical infrastructure by 2030, and targets full PQC transition by 2035.

Because blockchain systems are immutable by design, every classically signed transaction recorded now may become a permanent vulnerability once quantum capabilities mature. This creates a growing archive of exploitable data across wallets, protocols, and digital asset ownership records.

Regulatory momentum is accelerating in parallel. The National Institute of Standards and Technology finalized post-quantum cryptographic standards in 2024, while the European Union has mandated migration timelines for critical infrastructure by 2030. In March 2026, the White House’s National Cybersecurity Strategy further accelerated the adoption of post-quantum cryptography across federal systems and emerging technologies. Together, these developments signal a coordinated global transition toward quantum-resilient security.

“Mainnet represents the transition from proof-of-concept to production infrastructure. The network has already validated over 100 million transactions using post-quantum cryptography. That is not a roadmap promise; it is measured, operational capacity,” said Nathaniel Szerezla, Chief Growth Officer of Naoris Protocol.

Naoris Mainnet represents the shift from research and testnet experimentation to live, production-ready infrastructure. The network is now active, with early participation currently limited to an invite-only group of strategic partners, investors, and validator operators. Access will expand in structured phases as the ecosystem matures and additional components reach production readiness. Participants in this initial phase are able to operate dPoSec validator nodes, execute post-quantum transactions, and interact directly with the network as it establishes its foundational trust layer.

Naoris’ mainnet launch underscores a broader reality facing the crypto industry. Most existing blockchain systems were not designed to withstand quantum-era threats. Every wallet secured by classical cryptography, every transaction signed using legacy standards, and every digital asset on traditional chains is incrementally increasing its exposure. When quantum capabilities reach maturity, vulnerabilities across institutional wallets, DeFi protocols, cross-chain bridges, validators, and digital ownership records may be exposed in ways that cannot be retroactively fixed.

Naoris Protocol has been purpose-built to address this structural challenge. Designed from genesis as a post-quantum Layer 1 blockchain, it integrates NIST-approved cryptography directly into its architecture, operating at what it defines as the Sub-Zero Layer, where trust is continuously verified and enforced through its dPoSec consensus model. This approach extends across blockchains, Layer 2 networks, exchanges, custodians, DeFi protocols, validators, cross-chain systems, and individual wallets, introducing a new paradigm of security as foundational infrastructure.

The validator network is currently onboarding an invite-only group of strategic participants who will serve as genesis operators, forming the initial trust layer of the system with permanent on-chain recognition. Prior to Mainnet, the protocol was validated at scale through an extensive testnet phase involving hundreds of thousands of participants worldwide. During this period, the network detected and mitigated over 603 million threats, processed more than 106 million post-quantum transactions, created over 3.3 million wallets, and activated more than one million security nodes globally. These results reflect live network activity under adversarial conditions, demonstrating that decentralized post-quantum security can operate effectively at scale.

At the core of the ecosystem, the $NAORIS token will power validation, enforcement, and trust across the network, forming the economic layer of this emerging post-quantum infrastructure.
