PRESS RELEASE — On the occasion of NVIDIA GTC in San Jose, Scaleway announces full compatibility of its Quantum as a Service platform with the NVIDIA CUDA-Q runtime.

Developers can now write CUDA-Q kernels, select Scaleway as their preferred backend, and execute workloads seamlessly either on high performance GPU clusters or on real quantum processors without changing tools or managing separate environments.

This integration gives users direct access to Scaleway from within CUDA-Q, enabling ultrahigh performance state vector emulation on dedicated hardware, with no mutualized queueing, and unified access to multiple European quantum hardware modalities through a single cloud interface.

From Development to Execution in a Single Workflow

With CUDA-Q integration, the development process becomes straightforward. Teams write their quantum programs once and choose where to run them.
They can execute large scale simulations on NVIDIA Hopper and NVIDIA Blackwell architectures operated by Scaleway, or run the same code on real quantum processors through Scaleway’s quantum partners, simply by selecting a different execution machine.
No infrastructure orchestration is required on the user side. There is no need to provision GPU clusters, manage schedulers, or negotiate separate access to quantum hardware providers.
In practice, CUDA-Q becomes a direct gateway to supercomputing scale infrastructure delivered as a cloud service.

Powerful on demand state vector emulation platform

With this release, Scaleway becomes the most convenient and powerful on demand state vector emulation platform worldwide.
Running across eight interconnected NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra GPUs via NVIDIA NVLink, simulations can scale up to 38 qubits in full state vector representation. This removes the typical local memory wall encountered around thirty qubits on conventional systems and significantly exceeds the limits of many other open source emulators.
Large scale emulation becomes accessible instantly, without capital expenditure or investment in specialized hardware. Researchers, startups, and enterprises can experiment at supercomputing scale on demand.

A unified bridge between emulated and real quantum hardware

Beyond emulation, Scaleway provides access to real gate based quantum processors within the same environment.
Through Scaleway’s Quantum as a Service, developers can execute workloads on superconducting transmons systems from IQM Quantum Computers, including Garnet (20 qubits), Sirius (16 qubits), and Emerald (54 qubits), as well as on the trapped ion IBEX Q1 processor (12 qubits) from Alpine Quantum Technologies (AQT).
Developers write CUDA-Q kernels once, select Scaleway as a backend, and seamlessly switch between large scale GPU emulation and production grade QPUs without modifying their code.

This removes the traditional barrier between experimentation and real world validation, allowing ideas to move from simulation to hardware in a single workflow.
