Insider Brief

  • Forward Edge-AI graduated its inaugural Isidore Quantum Certification Class, marking a step in post-quantum cybersecurity workforce development tied to its FIPS 140-3–certified hardware platform tested across U.S. military branches and commercial partners.
  • The program, delivered with the National Security Agency and Lumen, trained participants from South Korea and Japan in operational deployment, secure integration, and real-world implementation of post-quantum cryptography and AI-enabled cybersecurity systems.
  • Graduates are certified to deploy and manage post-quantum security systems in mission-critical environments, supporting allied and partner nations as governments shift from policy planning to operational execution.

PRESS RELEASE — Forward Edge-AI, Inc., announced the graduation of its inaugural Isidore Quantum Certification Class, marking a milestone in international post-quantum cybersecurity readiness and workforce development. Forward Edge-AI is the company behind Isidore Quantum, the FIPS 140-3–certified hardware platform delivering the world’s first drop-in post-quantum cybersecurity solution successfully tested across air, land, sea, and space by the U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, Space Force, and major commercial partners such as Microsoft and Lumen.

The graduating class includes a strategic partner from WiseCube (South Korea) and two employees from Forward Edge-AI Japan. These participants are the only individuals from their respective countries to complete the Isidore Quantum certification to date.

The certification program was delivered jointly by Forward Edge-AI, the National Security Agency (NSA), and Lumen, and provided advanced instruction across post-quantum cryptography (PQC), cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The curriculum focused on operational deployment, secure integration, and real-world implementation of post-quantum systems.

“This certification reflects an operational standard, not a theoretical exercise,” said Eric Adolphe, Founder & CEO, Forward Edge-AI. “As nations move from policy to execution on post-quantum security, trained operators and trusted partners become the limiting factor. This program addresses that gap directly.”

The Isidore Quantum certification program is designed to ensure that partners and operators can deploy, manage, and maintain post-quantum security systems in mission-critical environments. Graduates are trained on applied use cases spanning government, defense, and critical infrastructure, with an emphasis on interoperability, resilience, and compliance with emerging national security requirements.

“Before this program, I had no experience with PQC devices, but now I understand how they work and how we can protect our data and assets,” said Dongsoo Lah, an inaugural training recipient from Korea. “After this training, I feel confident explaining PQC to others and sharing this knowledge with my customers. It’s been a very valuable opportunity.”

The graduation underscores Forward Edge-AI’s broader commitment to enabling allied and partner nations with deployable, standards-aligned post-quantum capabilities, supported by hands-on training and operational validation.

Microsoft
InvestorUnited States · 10001+ FTEs

Microsoft engages in the creation and licensing of software for both consumer and enterprise use. The company is renowned for its development of Windows operating systems and the Office suite designed for productivity. Microsoft's structure encompasses three major segments of roughly equal size: productivity and business processes, which encompasses legacy Microsoft Office, cloud-based Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Skype, LinkedIn, and Dynamics; the intelligence cloud, which includes offerings like Azure, Windows Server OS, and SQL Server; and more personal computing, which covers Windows Client, Xbox, Bing search, display advertising, and a range of Surface laptops, tablets, and desktops.

National Security Agency (NSA)
GovernmentUnited States · 10001+ FTEs

The National Security Agency is a national-level intelligence agency of the United States Department of Defense, under the authority of the Director of National Intelligence. NSA views quantum-resistant (or post-quantum) cryptography as a more cost effective and easily maintained solution than quantum key distribution. For all of these reasons, NSA does not support the usage of QKD or QC to protect communications in National Security Systems, and does not anticipate certifying or approving any QKD or QC security products for usage by NSS customers unless these limitations are overcome. The Laboratory for Physical Sciences (LPS) at the National Security Agency is deeply engaged in Quantum Information Science (QIS) R&D, covering quantum computing, sensing, and communications, along with supporting technologies. Their programs include Quantum Computing in the Solid State (QC-5), Stable High Fidelity Trapped Ion Systems, and Quantum Characterization of Intermediate-Scale Systems. LPS collaborates with partners like the Army Research Office (ARO) to advance initiatives like QC-5, focusing on various aspects of qubit research. Through the Quantum Computing Fund (QCF), LPS facilitates access to advanced qubits for research groups. Established in 2020, the Laboratory for Quantum Computing (LQC) supports the National Quantum Initiative (NQI) Act, promoting collaboration across government, industry, and academia. LQC's "Super Semi Lab" is a dedicated facility for quantum materials and qubit research. Additionally, LPS conducts quantum sensing research to develop highly sensitive magnetometers for national security applications.
