partnership with The Quantum Insider, will host its next episode on 18 November 2025, spotlighting Saudi Arabia, one of the Middle East’s fastest-advancing quantum ecosystems.
The Saudi Arabia episode will take place online from 08:00 to 09:30 CET, hosted on the AI for Good Neural Network and live-streamed on YouTube. This 90-minute session will explore how Saudi Arabia is translating long-term scientific investments, industrial capability, and national strategy into a coordinated effort to build a sustainable quantum future.
Saudi Arabia’s Quantum Effort: National Vision, Research, and Innovation
Guided by a national strategy to build a knowledge-based economy, Saudi Arabia is making targeted investments in quantum science, advanced materials, and high-performance computing. With a growing research base anchored by institutions like King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) and the expanding R&D activities of Saudi Aramco, the Kingdom is developing the foundations of a globally connected quantum ecosystem.

Saudi Arabia’s commitment includes support for scientific research, talent development, and strategic partnerships that link universities, industry, and government. Researchers at KAUST are advancing work in quantum materials, photonics, and computation, while national companies are exploring quantum-ready capabilities in sectors such as energy, seismic imaging, and cybersecurity.
Entrepreneurs are also entering the landscape. Startups like Qbits and Quantasphere are applying quantum technologies to secure communication, sensing, and specialized computing workflows. As these efforts grow, collaboration between researchers, government entities, and new ventures is shaping a coherent path toward scalable quantum innovation.
Together, these initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s model of linking research, talent, and strategic industries to build a resilient and competitive quantum future for the region.
