PRESS RELEASE — The Board of Directors of the Platform for Digital and Quantum Innovation of Quebec, a non-profit organization (NPO) founded in 2021 by the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy of Quebec (MEIE – Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec) and the Université de Sherbrooke, proudly announces the appointment of Marie-Claude Messier as Executive Director. This appointment follows the recent resignation of Éric Capelle, who has held this position with commitment and success since PINQ² was founded, and who has wished to hand over the reins to devote his time on community development projects
The selection process, steered by the Board of Directors, was rigorously conducted in order to ensure continuity in the leadership and innovative values that define PINQ². Following an in-depth evaluation of the candidates, Marie-Claude Messier’s candidacy was selected by the Board for her strategic vision and renowned expertise. The professional and personal qualities that Ms. Messier will bring to the development of PINQ² will enable the organization to continue playing a key role in the digital and quantum evolution of Quebec.
Marie-Claude Messier brings a wealth of experience in Information Technology, e-Business as well as e-Health acquired over the course of her 20 years in various management positions. Marie-Claude Messier has extensive expertise in launching businesses and new divisions as both an entrepreneur and intrapreneur, in addition to her experience in opening new markets and in developing business and partnership development. Moreover, her commitment to mobilizing teams and partners, as well as her knowledge in developing bold strategies that foster growth and collaboration, will be invaluable assets in the pursuit of PINQ²’s mission.
