Resonance, through its subsidiary, The Quantum Insider, has joined forces with the American Physical Society and the International Year of Quantum to showcase quantum science’s past, present, and future.
Resonance, through its subsidiary, The Quantum Insider, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ) for 2025, alongside the American Physical Society (APS). This partnership marks a significant moment as the world celebrates a century of quantum mechanics, recognizing its transformative impact and setting the stage for the next wave of quantum innovation.
Proclaimed by the United Nations in 2024, the IYQ is an unprecedented global initiative designed to raise public awareness of quantum science and its applications. Supported by leading national scientific societies, including APS, the IYQ will engage a diverse audience in understanding how quantum technologies are reshaping industries from healthcare to materials science.
“We are thrilled to play a key role in promoting quantum’s power to drive global progress,” said Alex Challans, CEO of Resonance. “This partnership offers a unique opportunity to bring together voices from across the world to inspire the next generation of quantum leaders and entrepreneurs.”
Celebrating Quantum’s Impact, Building its Future
In line with IYQ’s mission, Resonance will launch a global campaign in 2025, highlighting key achievements in quantum science and technology. The campaign will feature a documentary series on the history and future of quantum science, which will build on existing plans such as educational events, public lectures, and workshops aimed at making quantum accessible to all.
The American Physical Society (APS) plays a central role in IYQ, serving as a founding partner and global supporter of the initiative. As the administrator of this campaign, APS will work with UNESCO and other international entities to ensure broad collaboration between scientific societies, academic institutions, industries, and philanthropic organizations.
“The International Year of Quantum is an extraordinary opportunity to unite the global scientific community,” shared Marsha Maxwell, Head of Corporate Relations at APS. “APS is dedicated to ensuring the benefits of quantum technologies reach every corner of society, and we are excited to lead this worldwide effort.”
