PRESS RELEASE — Cybersecurity is an increasingly pressing issue, with 1,300 cyberattack attempts registered every minute. In this context, SeQure Quantum has developed a device that utilizes quantum technology to create random numbers with a high standard of security.
It is currently the only random number solution that continuously certifies the authenticity and randomness of the system based on fundamental principles of physics.
Paulina Assmann, CEO of SeQure Quantum and a Ph.D. in Physics, explained that the device generates random numbers, but with a significant difference: “These 100% random numbers also have the ability to constantly ‘prove’ themselves”.
“The patented system authenticates itself online and digitally, making it impossible to predict, impervious to faults, and even capable of detecting attempted cyberattacks in real time, something that current code-based technologies lack,” Assmann detailed.
This innovative capability in such technologies has sparked growing interest from various industries, such as gaming or data security and protection. In other words, any industry or business that handles critical information.
In fact, in November of last year, they signed an agreement with the French multinational Thales, a specialist in developing technology in the data protection field, so that, together with the technology developed by SeQure Quantum, they can work on scaling specific solutions for the defense sector.
Technology Against Cyberattacks Applied in the Gambling Industry
The same applies to the gaming industry (lotteries and casinos), which, like Concepción Lottery in Chile, work with SeQure Quantum to provide secure, transparent, and reliable technology for their online draws.
Interest from this industry was demonstrated at the last Lotteries Fair in Lisbon, an event organized by the Ibero-American Corporation of Lotteries and State Betting (Cibelae), which brought together companies from Latin America, Portugal, and Spain.
The company, which is the result of collaboration from various countries and over 20 years of work from its scientific team, has offices in Poland and Chile, where it is developing various projects.
