PRESS RELEASE –Quantonation, the leading quantum  technology venture capital firm, announced the addition of Dr. Will Zeng as a  new partner. Dr. Zeng, a renowned figure in the field of quantum computing, will join  Quantonation in July 2023.

With an impressive track record of innovation and leadership in the field of quantum  technology, Dr. Zeng stands at the forefront of quantum computing. As a partner, he will  play a pivotal role in expanding Quantonation’s investment portfolio and driving the growth  of quantum technologies worldwide. Dr. Zeng will leverage his scientific expertise and  entrepreneurial experience to identify, invest in, and mentor the most innovative quantum  technology startups.

Dr. Zeng was instrumental in the early days of Rigetti Computing, where he spearheaded  the launch of some of the world’s first quantum computers. Prior to joining Quantonation,  Dr. Zeng built and led a quantum and advanced computing research group at Goldman  Sachs and taught quantum programming at Stanford University. As the founder  and President of the Unitary Fund, an independent non-profit research institute focused  on quantum software and open source technology, Dr. Zeng has proven his commitment  to furthering the quantum technology ecosystem. He was previously elected as a founding  member of the governing board of the US Quantum Economic Development Consortium  (QED-C). Dr. Zeng completed his doctorate in Computer Science from the University of  Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar and holds a Bachelors of Science in Physics from Yale. His  research has focused on quantum computer architecture, software, algorithms and  applications.
