The Quantum Insider and QURECA are joining forces to again host a ‘Careers in Quantum Technologies Fair’ on 3 March.

A nearly universal – and deepening – concern for leaders in both business and government is the difficulty of sourcing qualified workers for the burgeoning multi-billion dollar quantum economy.

The Quantum Insider and QURECA are joining forces to again host a ‘Careers in Quantum Technologies Fair’ on 3 March to connect those trained workers with great jobs in business, industry and government.

“Quantum will not reach its full potential without improving access to trained and motivated talent,” said Alex Challans, CEO of The Quantum Insider. “As this is a global industry with that talent spread across the world, we believe that both the jobs and the talent are there – they just need to be better connected. As the success of last year’s event shows, the careers fair is a necessary step in bringing these groups together.”

At the event, workers and students will have a chance to network with the world’s leading employers in the quantum technology landscape. Quantum employers have a chance to connect with the world’s most highly trained and educated individuals.

Sessions will include: a lead talk and keynote talks, along with short talks and a skills talk on careers in quantum. Workers and businesses can also connect during speed networking sessions. Companies will also have the opportunity to set up exhibition booths to share more about their business and hold 1 on 1 chats with prospective applicants.

“Bringing workers and employers together is a critical step for the quantum ecosystem”, said Dr. Araceli Venegas-Gomez, CEO of QURECA .

“In recent years, there are many more companies facing difficulties to hire specific talent. At QURECA, we provide recruitment services directly, but the success of last year’s Quantum Careers event was a clear sign that we needed to enable further connections between job seekers and quantum companies around the world”, said Venegas-Gomez. “With this event, we want to bring the community closer, where individuals and companies can discuss and understand where we are in terms of skills and competences needed to drive the quantum ecosystem further”.
