Strangeworks QC Platform Offers Early Access to Beta QC Features and a $5000 Credit for Quantum R+D

If you follow arXiv, then you’ll know that advancements in quantum computing happen every week from quantum hardware and software providers. Getting access to the latest and greatest technologies has kept enterprises from truly exploring the quantum computing landscape. Today Strangeworks announces Backstage Pass, a beta program for providers to showcase their technologies and for researchers to access these groundbreaking features.

“We’re excited to offer researchers around the world the opportunity to have early access to not only our beta program but also up to $5000 in hardware credits to support their efforts,” said William Hurley, founder and CEO of Strangeworks, Inc. “The Backstage Pass program afrims our commitment to empowering researchers worldwide with the latest and greatest software tools for quantum research.”

We asked William Hurley a few questions to help our readers better understand this new offering.

Q: What is the Backstage Pass program?

A: It’s a new effort to support the research and development community in accessing the very latest the industry has to offer. It’s intended for quantum developers to accelerate their work in the R&D, providing access to Strangeworks and Quantum Syndicate members.

Q: What are the main features?

A: We’re constantly working to improve the tools and experience provided in the Strangeworks ecosystem. Early features on the horizon include enhanced team functionality, results and reporting, data exports, new tools integration s, and industry leading quantum hardware and simulator technologies. Members will be automatically granted access to the ticket for the Strangeworks early access beta.

Q: Who can participate?

A: Anyone can apply to participate, but we’re really looking for quantum researchers or quantum developers. Specifically, individuals and teams that could make the best use of the early access features and technologies available. The granting of a Backstage Pass will be determined by a discussion around your projects and how you’d like to use the Strangeworks platform to help with your research.

Q: Do I need to be affiliated with a University to apply?

A: No. The backstage pass program is open to both researchers and quantum developers from universities, research organizations and industry alike.

Q: How do I apply?

A: Go to our Backstage Pass page, click “apply now” and complete the short questionnaire. Once you have applied, our team will review your submission and reach out for further discussion and additional acceptance criteria if required.

Q: What is available at launch time?

A: A series of options will be introduced in the coming months, but applications for two tickets are now available with the launch of the program.

  • The Strangeworks Beta Program includes early access to new features as they become available such as enhanced team functionality, new results and reporting, enhanced data exports, new tools integrations and many more.
  • The Quantum Hardware Credit Program is supported by the integration with their quantum syndicate member, Amazon Braket. The program provides successful applicants with up to $5,000 in credit to use on the Strangeworks platform with hardware systems from D-Wave, IonQ, and Rigetti. Credit grants will be limited in availability so be sure to get your applications in early. See FAQ.

Q: What if a startup/developer is creating a new QC feature/approach/platform that might fit on Strangeworks? Are you looking for partners?

A: Strangeworks is always looking for new partners to join its ecosystem. If you are interested in becoming a Quantum Syndicate member or featuring your technology through the Strangeworks Backstage pass program contact us to learn more about how we can partner together.
