Origin Quantum Releases Roadmap to 2025, Expected to Achieve 1024 Qubits
On September 10, Origin Quantum officially released its quantum computing technology planning roadmap for the next five years. The roadmap shows that by 2025, the company will break through 1,000 qubits and reach 1,024 qubits and will use quantum computing to try to solve corresponding problems in different industrial fields and develop special quantum computers for industrial fields.
Two projects of QuantumCTek were selected as major science and technology projects in Anhui Province
The Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province has announced the list of major special projects in Anhui Province in 2021 (the first batch), among which, the project “Key technology research of single photon detector in communication band” is undertaken by QuantumCTek alone, and the project “Key technology research and development and demonstration application of industrial Internet edge computing gateway based on quantum security” is undertaken by QuantumCTek in cooperation with other institutions, both projects are “technology research” type projects.

Tsinghua University quantum information undergraduate class first enrollment completed
Tsinghua University quantum information undergraduate class was officially established in 2021, with Turing Award winner Academician Andrew Chi-Chih Yao as the chief professor and Professor Lu-Ming Duan as the project director. This is the first undergraduate talent training program in the direction of quantum information at Tsinghua University, and after a fierce competition of written exams and interviews, a total of 86 new students finally formed the new collective of the one-word class of the School of Cross-Information.

Chinese physicist Jun Ye wins 2022 Scientific Breakthrough Prize in Basic Physics
The winners of the 10th Breakthrough Prize in Science were announced in San Francisco on September 9, 2021, local time. Jun Ye, a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, was awarded the 2022 Breakthrough Prize in Basic Physics for his achievements in optical atomic clocks, an honor he shares with Hidetoshi Katori.
The Scientific Breakthrough Prize recognizes breakthrough discoveries in fundamental physics, life sciences and mathematics and is the most lucrative scientific award in the world, with a major prize of $3 million.
China Computer Federation announces the first batch of CCF Quantum Computing Professional Group members
The fourth meeting of the 12th Executive Council of the China Computer Federation (CCF) adopted a resolution on the creation of the “CCF Quantum Computing Specialty Group”. The announcement of the formation of this professional group was made in August 2021, and the first list of 117 members was finalized. The list includes people from universities, research institutes, technology companies, and quantum companies such as Boson Quantum, Yuntao Quantum, SpinQ, Origin Quantum, and QUDOOR.
