The People’s Bank of China Realizes the Encryption and Decryption of Payment System by Quantum Key

Based on the demand of payment system encryption and decryption, the General Clearing Center of the People’s Bank of China has proposed a new scenario of using quantum keys: using quantum keys for business system application layer encryption and decryption. In order to realize the implementation of this scenario, the General Clearing Center has developed and built a quantum key distribution system. The system consists of two parts: quantum infrastructure and quantum key management system. Through the interconnection of quantum private network (quantum “Beijing-Shanghai” trunk line + local quantum metropolitan network), quantum key distribution technology is used to generate quantum keys among data centers in three places, and the generated quantum keys are called by the upper quantum key management system.

CIQTEK establishes Quantum Science and Technology Association

CIQTEK established Quantum Science and Technology Association, the first committee produced 15 members, and He Yu, CEO of CIQTEK, was elected as the chairman of the science association. It was indicated that the enterprise science association will gather high-end innovative talents and organize academic exchanges in order to promote the development of enterprise industry-academia-research combination and accelerate the transformation and application of quantum precision measurement technology achievements.

Research

Shanghai Jiao Tong University makes important progress in the study of the practical safety of chip-based QKD

Prof. Guihua Zeng’s team at Shanghai Jiao Tong University has studied the practical security of chip-based Continuous-Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD) systems for the first time in the world, pioneering the research on the practical security of chip-based QKD. This research has been published in Physical Review A.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology makes important progress in quantum regulation of strongly correlated electronic systems

Prof. Ying-Shuang Fu’s group at Huazhong University of Science and Technology has made progress in the study of quantum regulation of strongly correlated electronic systems, which implies that Mott parameters of correlated insulating systems can be regulated by stress, providing an opportunity to artificially regulate the realization of quantum spin-liquid states in such material systems. The research has been published in Nano Letters.

Tsinghua University makes important progress in superconducting quantum computing

Prof. Luming Duan’s group at the Institute of Cross-Information, Tsinghua University, has made important progress in the field of superconducting quantum computing. The group has made the first experimental study of the effect of ambient bits on cross-resonance (CR) logic gates using a tunable coupled multi-qubit system and proposed an experimental solution. The research has been published in Physical Review Letters

USTC makes important progress in quantum simulation of arbitrary sublight

The team of Academician Guo Guangcan of the USTC simulated and demonstrated a method for realizing topological quantum calculation based on the zero-mode weaving operation of parafermions and the extraction of magic states. The experimental results show that the para-fermion zero-mode weaving process is immune to local noise and keeps the conservation of quantum intertextual resources. Therefore, it is possible to realize universal and fault-tolerant quantum computing by means of weaving operations and magic state distillation. The research has been published in PRX Quantum.

CAS achieves a magnetic measurement that breaks the standard quantum limit for the first time in a solid-state system

Researchers at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) have achieved a magnetic measurement based on a diamond solid-state single-spin system that breaks the standard quantum limit in a room-temperature atmospheric environment. The discovery can be extended to other solid-state spin systems and is a fundamental boost to the development of both quantum precision measurements and quantum computing in solid-state systems. The research has been published in Science Advances.
