CSU boosts optical storage time to 1 hour

The research team has improved the storage time of coherent light to 1 hour, substantially refreshing the world record of 1 minute of light storage by a German team in 2013, and taking an important step toward the realization of quantum USB flash drive.
CSU opens up new direction in non-reciprocal field to achieve 50dB noiseless all-optical isolation
The scholars at CSU have made new progress in the field of optical non-reciprocity, achieving 51.5dB of non-reciprocal isolation in the atomic system synthesis, which is the highest isolation ratio in the field of non-magnetic non-reciprocity, and for the first time explored the problem of quantum noise in non-reciprocal devices, proving that the new all-optical non-reciprocal effect does not introduce additional quantum noise.
Enhanced sideband cooling by dissipation modulation in the optical force system at CSU
Scholars at CSU have made new progress in the field of cavity optical force. The research team has achieved the dissipation control of the photo-force interaction and enhanced the cooling effect of the photo-force system through cascaded photon-phonon coupling in the photo-force hybrid system.
Discovery of a new method for optimization of silicon-based spin quantum bit manipulation by CSU
Scholars at CSU have made important progress in the study of silicon-based spin quantum bit manipulation. The research team, in collaboration with Origin Quantum, studied silicon-based quantum dots with integrated micromagnets and discovered the anisotropy of spin quantum bit manipulation.
The Summer Camp for 2021 Outstanding Undergraduates of Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences
The Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences of Tsinghua University will hold the “2021 Summer Camp for Outstanding Undergraduates”, which will be held on May 29-30 for physics and June 19-20 for computer science. Elsevier recently released the list of China’s Highly Cited Scholars for 2020, which includes 373 universities, companies and research institutions, with the Chinese Academy of Sciences having the largest number of highly cited scholars at 441. Professor Guoping Guo, the founder and chief scientist of Origin Quantum, has been ranked on Elsevier’s “China’s Highly Cited Scholars” list for 2020.
