Pivot & Go

To gain traction, to compete with those around us, is a calling card for today’s startups. With so many competing technologies, it’s so important to have as many fingers in the pie as possible — this isn’t a bad thing. The ability to pivot and go where the technology and public taste take us will be crucial for any entrepreneur in making a go of his or her business in the years ahead.

To offer a multitude of services, too, will be an important step in seeing success and a healthy ROI.

InBridge Inc, founded in Lethbridge, Alberta in 2018, is doing just that.

InBridge Inc

Fashioned as an ‘advanced technology company’, the startup hopes to bring ‘optimization, traceability and quality assurance to industry’ using the power of the blockchain, AI and the IoT.

 — Logistics, Transportation & Supply Chain

 — Agriculture

 — Public Sector

Additionally, the startup’s services include development, consulting and education.

But where is quantum computing (QC) in all of this our loyal readership of TQD may ask?

The Canadian company can answer it:

‘As technologies like blockchain, the internet of things, artificial intelligence and quantum computing progress, we must prepare industry for inevitable disruption and exponential growth.’

Talk of emerging technology, especially in 2020, can never be uttered without mentioning QC.

INBRIDGE

Because it’s here to stay.

Responsible for all this is InBridge’s two founders, CEO Jefferson Gardner and Jason Flatla, the startup’s executive chairman.

Gardner, a certified blockchain expert, has a diploma in business management from Lethbridge College and over a decade of experience working in managerial and directorial positions in the automotive industry (BMW) and recruitment. But that’s not all. He’s also been a consultant and mentor while co-founding the internet company TaDuler, in 2018.

Flatla, his partner at InBridge Inc, obtained a BSc in environmental sciences from the University of Lethbridge. Much like Gardner, Flatla’s resume contains stints as a founder of a startup and more senior roles in corporate Canada.

The two entrepreneurs lead an experienced and skilled advisory team of technologists and scholars possessing PhDs in mathematics, physics and biomedicine. Half the advisory team are members of Quantum Alberta, a ‘network of academic and industry experts who have joined together to elevate Quantum Science research’ in Alberta.

Whether InBridge Inc can achieve its goal will depend on a few factors. With a growing market in all areas of disruptive technology, the startup will need its experts at Quantum Alberta to be effective in the ever-expanding QC sector.
