Matt has served as a writer, editor, and analyst at The Quantum Insider since its inception. With several decades of experience in journalism and science communication, he has worked as a science communicator at an R1 research university for more than 12 years. He is currently a teaching professor at Penn State University, where he also develops courses to improve the media and communications skills of scientists.
At TQI, Matt oversees editorial strategy and content production across all verticals: quantum computing, quantum networking, quantum sensing, capital markets, and national policy. He has published over 1,500 articles on quantum technology, conducted exclusive interviews with CEOs, CTOs, and research leads at companies including Microsoft, Google, IonQ, Rigetti, D-Wave, and Quantinuum, and has covered every major quantum industry development since 2019.
