PRESS RELEASE — Serendipity Capital, a leading early-stage investor in critical technologies, has today announced its Head of UK, Kurtis Gann, has been appointed to the advisory board of the recently established London Quantum Cluster, a consortium of research and industry groups working to advance the quantum technology industry in London and the UK.

Founded earlier this year, the London Quantum Cluster has already received significant support from the Mayor of London and public investment bodies to support its ambitions. Over the next year, the group will focus on creating opportunities for co-investment and collaboration among London-based research groups, in addition to connecting them with other UK metro areas and international partners.

These activities will build upon London’s inherent advantages as a financial, research and innovation hub. The initiative also aligns with the UK government’s broader commitment to developing national quantum capabilities.

In his role on the London Quantum Cluster’s advisory board, Kurtis’ significant investment and commercialisation experience in the quantum industry will be invaluable as the industry increasingly focuses on evolving its early research into investible business applications.

Kurtis Gann, Head of UK at Serendipity Capital, said, “As a widely renowned centre for research and innovation and home to many of the world’s leading corporate and financial institutions, London is well placed to become a global hub for the quantum industry. I look forward to helping the LQC to harness the region’s existing strengths and cement London at the heart of quantum supply chains, while fostering the next generation of quantum unicorns.”
