Press release – AQSolotl and QuantrolOx today announced a  strategic partnership to integrate quantum control hardware and automated machine learning  software, in a move aimed at accelerating the shift from experimental quantum systems to  scalable, production-ready infrastructure.

The collaboration will combine AQSolotl’s Chronos-Q control system with QuantrolOx’s Quantum EDGE platform, creating a unified stack designed to reduce manual calibration and  improve system stability. The companies said the integration is intended to significantly shorten  tuning cycles and enable more consistent qubit performance. These are key requirements as  quantum computing moves towards real-world deployment.

The partnership is focused on addressing one of the sector’s most persistent challenges: the  reliance on manual, time-intensive system tuning. By deploying AQSolotl’s hardware on the  QuantrolOx Quantum Testbed and integrating automated control workflows, the joint solution  aims to deliver a more efficient operating environment for quantum engineers and researchers.  The platform is also expected to support emerging workloads such as quantum AI training, where  repeatability and system fidelity are critical.

Why Now?

As quantum processors scale beyond early-stage prototypes, increasing qubit counts and tighter  performance thresholds are making manual calibration impractical. The industry is shifting  towards automation and integrated control layers to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and  enable continuous operation. This transition is widely seen as a prerequisite for moving quantum  computing from research environments into commercial use cases.

Under the terms of the partnership, the collaboration will be executed in two phases: Immediate Term:

  • Technical Integration: Integration of Chronos-Q with Quantum EDGE to provide a  unified interface for control and automated calibration.
  • Performance Benchmarking: Joint evaluation of qubit fidelity, execution speed, and  operational efficiency against existing approaches.

Longer Term:

  • Bilateral Co-design: Deeper hardware–software integration to improve usability for  enterprise and research users.
  • Joint Market Strategy: Bundled offerings for global quantum customers.  Patrick Bore, CEO of AQSolotl, said:

“Our focus is on making quantum systems practical to operate at scale. By combining high speed control hardware with Quantrolox’s automated calibration, we can reduce the complexity  of running these systems and help teams spend more time on applications. This partnership also  provides more alternatives for our global customers”

Vishal Chatrath, CEO and Co-Founder of QuantrolOx, added:

“Automation is becoming essential as quantum systems grow in complexity. This partnership  brings machine learning-driven control directly into AQSolotl’s hardware layer, enabling more  stable and repeatable performance with significantly less manual intervention. This partnership  also provides more opportunities for our current customers and will also expand our customer  base”
