Hefei to build a Quantum Metropolitan Area Network to create the world’s leading “quantum center”
Recently, the nation’s largest quantum MAN-Hefei Quantum MAN completed its construction project bidding, which contains 8 core sites and 159 access network sites. According to the report, after the completion of Hefei Quantum MAN, it will create a quantum MAN with the largest, widest coverage and most applications in many industries, such as government, finance and medical, and realize high level security communication service based on quantum security technology, helping Hefei to build an innovation-driven and global leading “quantum center”.

CIQTEK and Origin Quantum were awarded “Unicorn Enterprise”
On November 11, the government of Hefei High-Tech Zone released the “Hefei High-Tech Zone 2021 High Growth Enterprise List”, and the only two unicorns are both startups in the field of quantum, which are CIQTEK and Origin Quantum. The so-called unicorns are companies registered in China, established within ten years, having received private investment but not yet publicly listed, and with an enterprise valuation of over USD 1 billion.
QuantumCTek was awarded as “Deep Technology” enterprise
On November 11, the government of Hefei High-tech Zone released the “Hefei High-tech Zone 2021 High Growth Enterprise List”, and QuantumCTek was awarded the “Deep Technology” enterprise of Hefei High-tech Zone in 2021. The “Deep Technology” enterprises refer to those enterprises that are in the frontier and key core technology fields, leading in technology, with core R&D team, strong independent innovation capability and good management.

Turing Quantum Completes Pre-A Series Financing of Several Hundred Million RMB
Turing Quantum announced the completion of a Pre-A round of financing of hundreds of millions of RMB, led by Legend Capital. This round of financing will be mainly used for the development and tape out of programmable light quantum chips, as well as the commercialization of quantum algorithms.

USTC and Huazhong University of Science and Technology have cooperated for the first time to achieve superradiant phase transition simulation beyond the No-go theorem
USTC and Huazhong University of Science and Technology have cooperated to make important progress in the experimental research of superaddition phase variable sub-simulation. By introducing anti-compression operation and using high-precision quantum control technology, the cooperative research group successfully realized the equilibrium superradiant phase transition beyond the No-go theorem on the nuclear magnetic resonance quantum simulator for the first time, and promoted the quantum phase transition. The development of theory and quantum simulation field provides a new way for quantum precision measurement. Related research was published in Nature Communications.

USTC has made important progress in nanoscale quantum sensing research
The group of Prof. Fangwen Sun at USTC has combined quantum sensing technology with optical super-resolution imaging technology to study the ultra-small local field and high-precision detection of nanoscale electromagnetic fields, realizing the local field of electromagnetic fields at the one-millionth wavelength scale. Based on this discovery, the local electromagnetic field energy and the strength of interaction with matter have been further improved by 8 and 4 orders of magnitude, respectively. The related research has been published in Nature Communications.
