India’s BosonQ Psi Qualifies For Second & Final Round of BMW Group/AWS QC Challenge For Material Deformation

BosonQ Psi (BQP), a quantum startup from Bhilai in Central India, recently shared the news that it has qualified for the second and final round of the BMW Group and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Quantum Computing Challenge for Material Deformation use case.

After a year-long journey to develop structural dynamics and multibody dynamics solvers which are powered by quantum computing, the Challenge gave the team of Bhargav Das, Anant Sharma, Rut Lineswala, Abhishek Chopra, and Abhigyan Mishra a platform to prove its mettle with real-world use-case in the automotive sector.

Generous in its thanks to BMW and AWS for the amazing opportunity, the BQP team continues to strive towards developing the next-generation engineering simulation software. Part of this is to welcome companies from other industries such as aerospace, manufacturing or construction for pilots and POC.

About the BMW Group Quantum Computing Challenge

The BMW Group Quantum Computing Challenge is open to participants from research groups and companies worldwide. The challenge is organized into two rounds. In the first round, participants need to submit a well-documented concept proposal for one of four use case challenges, described below. In the second and final round, teams with the top three submissions in each use case will be asked to build out their solutions. The final, virtual presentation to the competition’s judging panel, including domain experts from BMW and AWS will take place in December. The winners will be announced at the Q2B quantum computing industry conference (Dec. 7–9).
