QuantGates, a UK-based quantum computer company, will offer introductory courses in quantum computing to help participants gain a stronger understanding of the major QC projects.

The interactive webinar, scheduled to start January 11, offers lessons in how to code for a quantum computer, including:

  • Basic notions of quantum mechanics
  • Mathematical notions of Hilbert Spaces and Operators
  • Physical Notions: States and Observables
  • Tensor Products and Composite Systems
  • Entanglement
  • Quantum Gates and Circuits (Binary Quantum Gates)
  • Quantum Algorithms

The course will also cover the concepts and principles of quantum computing and key quantum computational algorithms including Shor’s algorithm and Grover’s algorithm. Lessons will also help the student learn how to design programs with quantum logic, and how to analyze the potential of quantum computing in your industry.

The class period is set at one hour per week live course followed by lecture notes and the other training materials and support. The exact details about the time will be released one week before the course.

The class will also offer the students a chance to prepare themselves for a career in quantum computing. According to QuantGates, the field of quantum computing is booming and having the right skills and experience can help you get a path to a lucrative career.

You can find out more about careers in quantum computing at The Quantum Daily’s job board.

QuantGates offers hands-on training in Quantum Computing to solve Hi-valued real-world problems. Developers, data scientists, researchers, and students can get practical experience powered by QPUs in the cloud and earn a certificate of competency to support professional growth.

No background in quantum computing, quantum physics, or physics is necessary.

This year the course will be led by Behzad Mansouri who has given quantum computing lectures in the past.

Behzad joined QuantGates in 2019, leading the company through its transition from R&D into the leader in the development and delivery of quantum computing technologies. He holds an MSc degree from King’s College London in Mathematics (Theoretical Physics).
