As an expert for optical quantum measurements you will be responsible for implementing and running experiments and characterization tools for different classical and non-classical states of light.
Your tasks
- Independent planning and realization of optical laboratory setups using a mix of free-space, fiber and integrated optics
- Measurement of photonic integrated circuits of various degrees of complexity
- Design and characterization of complex measurement setups
- Characterization of classical and non-classical states of light
- Semi-automated execution of experiments and measurement series
- Processing, analysis and evaluation of the resulting data in Python
- Presentation and communication of findings
Your profile
- Maters’s or Ph.D. degree in the field of quantum optics or similar
- Experience in the field of optical assemblies using free-space optics and fiber optics
- Independent way of working in an agile team
- Knowledge in Python
- Very good language skill in English, both written and spoken; German skills can be an advantage
