Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) offers multiple PhD fellowship opportunities for theoretical and experimental research in areas related quantum computing, including, but not limited to, quantum algorithms, quantum ML/AI, quantum error correction, quantum cryptography, quantum networks. Successful candidates will work in a vibrant environment under the supervision of a QC2 or join faculty and will have the opportunity to collaborate with other PhD students, postdocs and researchers within QC2 and with external collaborators including industry partners. Candidates may be offered opportunities to participate in student exchange programs and short industry internships during their PhD.
Candidates are expected to have an MSc in relevant disciplines with GPA of at least 3.0 and a GRE score. Candidates with a research track record and/or industry experience (e.g., internships) will be prioritized.
QC2 offers fully funded 3-year fellowships, which includes: 100% tuition wavier, accommodation and monthly stipends.

Qatar Center for Quantum Computing (QC2) is a newly establish center within HBKU seeded by a major 10M USD grant from the government of Qatar. QC2 will be housed in a world-class purposely built research facility and will partner with both prominent academic research groups and industry leaders. With its three research groups focusing on quantum communication, quantum computation and quantum sensing, QC2 is envisioned to play a key role in advancing quantum computing research locally, regionally, and internationally.
